Queer New York-based singer-songwriter ROREY returns with her striking new single 'Temporary Tragedy', a raw and emotionally charged bedroom pop release accompanied by a cinematic music video.

Built around hushed instrumentation and vulnerable lyricism, 'Temporary Tragedy' explores the emotional toll of losing yourself in the pursuit of closeness. ROREY describes the track as a reflection on “the cost of self-abandonment when you grip intimacy and what it means to choose yourself.” The song captures that painful turning point where hope collides with reality and love alone cannot repair what’s broken.

The accompanying video draws from ROREY’s first queer relationship, tracing the obsessive overthinking and emotional spirals that can follow heartbreak. While rooted in personal experience, the visual speaks to a wider truth: sometimes two people simply cannot meet each other where they need to be.
