Hailing from Liverpool, RUINS unveil their new single, 'Burning Library'. Wasting no time since the release of 'Low Postcards' earlier in the year, the group are keen to highlight the tightknit nature of their creative partnership. Offering a low-tempo, though hard hitting, drum machine, RUINS effortless artistry spills out across the track. Falsetto centre stage, the release navigates punctuating guitar strums and drawing synthesiser melodies as it draws influence from grief and loss.

Diving into the inspiration behind the single, the band explains, “‘Burning Library' borrows its title from a book by one of our favourite writers, Edmund White. The notion is that when someone dies, a library burns, all that information that has been accumulated over a lifetime is lost. At the time of writing the lyrics, I felt surrounded by loss. The song was really cathartic and helped me to process losing people in my life.”
