Spin Class Turn Up The Volume On ‘Rip ‘N’ Dip’

Bristol four-piece Spin Class come roaring back with ‘Rip ‘N’ Dip’, a hefty, groove-led rocker that wastes no time getting under your skin. Fuzzed-up guitars, pounding drums and soaring vocals give the track plenty of weight, but there’s also a strong sense of melody running through the noise.

Recorded live with producer Josh Gallop at Stage 2 Studios in Bath, the track is all about building tension. It starts relatively restrained, gradually locks into its central groove and keeps turning up the pressure until everything finally erupts in a suitably explosive finale. There’s a touch of Queens of the Stone Age in those addictive guitar lines, but Spin Class bring enough raw energy to make the sound their own.

After two EPs and a growing reputation on the live circuit, ‘Rip ‘N’ Dip’ feels like a natural progression. It’s loud, physical and clearly designed to hit hardest when played at full volume. Spin Class sound increasingly comfortable in their own lane here, and this particular lane has plenty of room for volume.
