Suffolk alt-pop up-and-comer Loome has returned with the infectious new single ‘Let U Know’, the latest preview of his anticipated second album YOUFORIA, set for release on May 22.
Building steadily on a reputation for blending indie sensibilities with glossy alternative-pop hooks, the new track continues Loome’s signature sonic direction, balancing characterful guitar textures with breezy, melodic songwriting.
Produced alongside acclaimed engineer Jason La Rocca—whose credits span blockbuster films such as Venom and The Flash, as well as globally recognised video games including Cyberpunk 2077 and God of War—‘Let U Know’ pairs boxy, personality-rich guitar tones with bright, pop-leaning melodies. Over the sunlit instrumentation, Loome’s silky vocal delivery carries relatable, heartfelt lyricism, weaving irresistibly catchy hooks throughout.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the track, Loome—real name Tomas Frankson—describes the song as deeply personal.
“This song is a reminder to myself that you've got to grab what you want in life with both hands and not let go. In my case, that was a girl who I met when I was 18, who now has my second name. I took a snapshot of my life, the songs that soundtracked me meeting my now wife.”
The solo project of Suffolk’s Tomas Frankson, Loome has built his success from the ground up. Writing, performing and engineering his music from a one-room home studio, he has developed a distinctive alt-pop sound that has quietly built an international following, with listeners stretching from the UK across Europe and into Asia.
That grassroots momentum accelerated following the release of his debut album ASTROHEARTS in 2025. The record helped propel the Suffolk artist into wider recognition, earning press acclaim and a place on BBC Introducing’s ‘Sound Of 2023’ list. Soon after, Loome secured his first national radio support with plays on BBC Radio 1’s Future Pop programming.
His rise has also translated to the stage. Over the past year, Loome has appeared live at Latitude Festival while also selling out multiple headline shows, further cementing his reputation as one of the region’s most promising independent artists.
Alongside his live success, Loome’s music has found strong support on streaming platforms, gaining placement across several influential Spotify editorial playlists including Peach, Alt-Pop, New Music Friday, Fresh Finds: Pop and Class of 2023 on Fresh Finds UK & IE. The continued backing has helped introduce his shimmering alt-pop sound to a growing global audience.
With ‘Let U Know’, Loome offers a vibrant preview of what’s to come from YOUFORIA—a project that promises to expand his melodic universe while maintaining the intimate DIY ethos that first set his music apart.
