Stockholm-hailing songstress HENRIKES is well-versed in the art of anthemic productions. Following the development of an uplifting pop-packed catalogue of sonic goodness, the rising artist now seeks to uncover a more cinematic style of storytelling. Armed with a new take on infectious pop productions and of course her signature electro sound, HENRIKES now returns to the spotlight with ‘Out Of The Blue’ to complete her EP.

Undoubtedly an artist born out of a yearning to make sense of the world around her, HENRIKES possesses a unique talent for the creation of thought-provoking projects rooted in unfeigned experiences. With previous thought-provoking releases from her EP like ‘Night Train’ and ‘Somebody Stole The Sun’ putting her name before a well-versed group of music fans, the Scandinavian talent maintains her zest for interpreting her surroundings while continuing to discover a pure means of translating and understanding her experiences.

“It’s like adding colour to a memory, or creating short story films. I love the accessibility of the music industry today, and the fact that you can write a song with someone on the other side of the world whom you’ve never met.”

HENRIKES’ lyricism naturally veers towards a stream of consciousness, resembling conversations and battles within herself as she gradually creates a jigsaw of challenging musings. Supported by 80s-reminiscent, layered synths and a superbly rich topline; all in great anticipation of an impactful and euphonious chorus, driving bass and tantalising drum patterns add the finishing touches as the rising star injects deep contemplation and experience into all of her work.

With the rest of the EP packing just as much of a punch with its playful, vibrant and ultra-modern style, the creation of this body of work was inspired by the contrasts of highs and lows and the idea that unexpected events can serve as turning points. Joining forces with long-time collaborator, writer and producer Märta Grauers, HENRIKES is an artist who is open to all avenues of creative exploration, with a clear taste for collaboration.

As HENRIKES recognises the sonic complexity and depth that collaboration brings, her sound continues to evolve. With an ever-growing discography packed with melancholic, dreamy releases, the unique talent’s latest offering is helplessly intoxicating as she seeks to uncover the most reflective version of herself. The result? An all-encompassing, exceedingly captivating release.

Speaking on the lead single of her latest EP, HENRIKES said:

“The song is an expression of that turning point when you least expect it and light reappears out of the blue. It touches on the energetic feeling of attraction when it strikes without warning.”
