French producer Thaylo closes out the run of singles from his forthcoming EP 'Drown In Your Eyes' with “One Life,” a sweeping, emotionally charged track released on August 8 via PLAYY. Records. Premiered by Magnetic Magazine, the single embodies everything that’s propelled Thaylo from his Grenoble beginnings to a rising star in the electronic scene.
Known for his piano-driven productions that balance infectious rhythms with heartfelt melodies, Thaylo has garnered over 4.5 million streams and earned support from heavyweights like Martin Garrix, Nora En Pure, and Solomun. His recent releases have been spotlighted on leading tastemaker platforms such as When We Dip and House Music With Love, alongside coveted spots on Spotify editorial playlists like Chill Tracks and Afterhours.
“When I first got into music, I was a huge fan of progressive house and EDM. ‘One Life’ is a nod to those early inspirations—a blend of my current style and the sounds that made me fall in love with electronic music in the first place. The track is about how we only get one life, and we should live it to the fullest. I tried to capture that energy in the melody of the chorus. It’s a track that balances simplicity and impact, proving that sometimes, less is more—staying true to yourself and keeping things simple can often be the key to life.”
“One Life” opens with ethereal vocals and spacious atmospherics that create an emotive soundscape — a moment of calm before the song unfurls into an irresistible groove.
Arpeggiated synths pulse alongside a thrumming bass and steady four-on-the-floor beat, expertly layering and peeling back sounds to maintain both momentum and emotional depth. The track’s cinematic progression evokes the transcendent feeling of a festival sunrise, blending melodic, progressive, and deep house influences into a cohesive whole.
Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of artists including M83, Ludovico Einaudi, and Solomun, Thaylo crafts a sound that is as thoughtful as it is dancefloor-ready — a sonic journey that will resonate with fans of Ben Böhmer, Monolink, and RÜFÜS DU SOL alike.
With “One Life,” Thaylo proves once again that his music can capture both the euphoria of a live set and the intimacy of a personal soundtrack, positioning him as a producer to watch in 2025 and beyond.
