When the Edinburgh-based outfit The Lonely Together released their breakthrough debut album 'Everything Viewed Backwards Through The Rearviewmirror' in 2021, it arrived after almost a decade of steady praise and acclaim. Since then they have looked to figure out their next moves with a string of immersive outings, leading to their latest offering 'Talk About Anything, a cut brimming with heartfelt textures.
Set to appear on their self-described "existential" second LP 'Endless Sunset Oblivion', arriving soon, 'Talk About Anything' offers up more of that warm and inviting aesthetic that has become so synonymous with them lately. With its heart-warming prose, perfectly layered against some beautifully joyous indie-rock production throughout, it feels like their next full-length will become a truly wondrous experience.
Recorded at Post Electric Studios in Edinburgh with Idlewild's Rod Jones, The Lonely Together feel like a band we could grow to love even more in the months ahead.
