New York-based experimental alt-pop outfit Tripping Jupiter are back with their latest single, ‘This Fuss’, their first release of 2026, as a pointed statement of intent. Opening with a wailing siren before bursting into a wash of saturated synths and muscular rhythm, ‘This Fuss’ channels a fiery spirit through a slick pop lens. There is bite in the lyricism, a clear-eyed look at political unrest and social frustration, yet it never loses its sense of colour or melody as it grows into a euphoric sing-along.
Speaking about the single, the band dive in, “I see a whole lot of people frustrated with mega-capitalism on steroids; pissed at oligarchs and how they negatively affect our lives. I see it on social media daily. People are struggling, and people are pissed. So my song is an attempt to describe the chaos in the world that we are seeing in a playful, poetic way and give people a catchy, pop anthem to hang that anger onto. Because it's lyrically a little humorous, I think I get away with it.”
