20-year-old singer/songwriter Truly Honesti displays a wide ranging ability of tastefully balancing modern R&B with a soulful twist. Her sophisticated songwriting is brought to life with harmonious vocals on the new single “Crystal”. Laced with moody synths and dispersed vocal samples, “Crystal” is an emotionally visceral experience that serves as a reminder that you can’t always trust what somebody says, as Honesti sings:

Discussing the release, Truly explains:“Crystal’is very special to me, because it shows my growth as a writer and storyteller. Crystal is about being able to see someone for who they truly are through their actions and not the bullshit they tell you or try to get you to believe.”
Over the last several years, Truly has built a growing following through a string of heat-making singles and EPs, drawing from musical influences that range from Lil Baby to Mary J. Blidge. Truly’s new music though comes from a place of following intuition by way of personal growth and creating something uniquely her own.
