It’s always interesting to try and make connections between the title of a release and its content. Much like an actual period of strange weather, the brand new EP by singer and songwriter T.E. Yates strikes for its variety.
The six songs on this excellent effort portray different moods, and are fuelled by a vast array of sounds, making the record mercurial and easy to relate to for listeners of all backgrounds. As someone who is no stranger to performing with various bands as a multi-instrumentalist, T.E. Yates managed to gain a really wide perspective of making music.
It is often said that some of the best artists are the ones who understand what it means to be on the side, as opposed to only seeking the spotlight. The ability to be so well-rounded might have something to do with the fact that this artist has experience making music in all of these different capacities, and the record is all the more diverse for it!
