London-based electronic artist Understudy has announced his forthcoming debut EP 'swarms', alongside the release of new single 'Falling Through The Cracks' and the launch of a new independently curated event series, UNDUN. The first UNDUN night will take place at Low Profile Studios in London on 1st May, with Understudy headlining a lineup that spotlights the city’s underground electronic and experimental talent.
Driven by a deep connection to UK rave culture and DIY club spaces, Understudy views the dancefloor as one of the last truly communal environments. UNDUN aims to reflect that ethos, offering an affordable, all-night experience built around shared energy and forward-thinking sounds.
'Falling Through The Cracks' marks a more confrontational turn in his sound, blending industrial textures with post-punk intensity. Built around a chopped and reimagined amen break, the track pushes beyond its traditional drum & bass roots, delivering a raw, high-impact three-minute burst.
