VC Pines unveils brooding new single 'Need 2 Breathe'

Following the success of his highly-praised comeback track 'BREAK', alternative soul innovator VC Pines returns with his latest single 'Need 2 Breathe', a deeply introspective piece that dives into the emotional turmoil of modern relationships.

Out now, the track explores themes of second-guessing, paranoia, and the struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy, even when it’s unhealthy. Written during a particularly turbulent period, the song captures the mental toll of fractured connections, laying bare raw emotions through haunting melodies and his signature mesmeric vocals.

”‘Need 2 Breathe’ was written last year whilst going through a tumultuous time mentally; strong relationships I had had kind of fallen apart,” VC Pines shares. “It’s about second-guessing, paranoia, but an overall willingness to forget and pretend that everything’s normal—even if this is unhealthy. The modern world is confusing, as are its relationships.”
