British-Sri Lankan artist VIB makes a powerful return with 'Lassani', a genre-blending ode to South Asian identity, out now on all platforms. Rooted in pride and cultural celebration, the track seamlessly fuses Singhalese and Tamil drum patterns with Afrobeats grooves and smooth RnB vocals, creating a rich, magnetic soundscape that honours Sri Lankan women and the wider South Asian diaspora.

Written as a love letter to brown beauty, Lassani arrives as VIB’s most confident statement yet, a celebration of heritage, rhythm, and representation. “There’s not enough music that centres South Asian women,” VIB explains. “This song is for them, and for the brown boys who want something to vibe to that reflects their own culture.”

At just 23, VIB’s journey is already remarkable. A rising music talent with BBC Asian Network support, he’s also a published poet, founder of the charity Vib Save Children, and a final-year medical student currently doing his elective in Sri Lanka.
