PREMIERE: Abstract Theory kicks off 2021 with new animated video for "Blue"

Abstract Theory is a Pittsburgh-based hip hop act striving to open the minds' of their listeners.



Comprised of Troy Johnson and Louis Petrone, Abstract Theory has been able to tour Europe with KRS-One and provide support for acts such as The Chainsmokers, Dej Loaf, GHerbo, and NBA Youngboy. Abstract Theory released their debut EP Wasted Youth in April of 2019 on all major streaming platforms. In 2020, the team released their breakout single "Forget About It" featuring Sierra Sellers, pushing them further into the spotlight they've been battling to stand-in.


Their debut single and video, “Blue”, is an ambitious combination of jazz and boom-bap that is perfect background for any situation. Whether you're down and in a bad mood or ready to take over the world, this track is the perfect companion for anything you might be feeling. Currently, the duo lives together in the heart of Pittsburgh cultivating underground music and art scenes and curating events. While Abstract Theory has been making some waves in their hometown, they are finally ready to break through globally in 2021, with a slate of singles and visuals promised for the new year.

If it weren't for COVID, these guys would be out overseas performing with some of Hip Hop's greatest. Instead, they have been plotting their movements for 2021, positioning themselves to be in a position to land top placements and fill out shows (whenever that comes back), such as fellow Pittsburgh MC My Favorite Color. Be on the lookout for Abstract Theory, the combination of their lethal delivery and indicate, smooth instrumentals makes them poised for some huge growth in the next year.
