5 Songs I Love w/ Kelly Rose

Updated: Oct 29, 2021

Following the release of her new single 'Ignite', we chatted with pop's rising star Kelly Rose to find out more about her 5 favourite songs right now. If you love these songs, you're sure to love Kelly so make sure to listen to 'Ignite'!

1. Levitating - Dua Lipa

I am obsessed with Dua Lipa. This song never fails to put me in a good mood. I feel like I get transported back to the 80s whenever I listen to this song. The lyrics connect with each other effortlessly. Plus, the melodies are so smooth, fun, and catchy that you can’t help but start dancing when you listen to it! 2. Tate McRae - vicious

I love the vibe of this song! It has such a cool mix of haunting pop melodies over a more hip hop influenced beat. I also love how Tate’s vocal performance gives off a beautifully dark and moody tone. This song makes you feel like you’re the bad character in a movie. I love thematic songs like this one that take you on a journey to places like that. 3. Ed Sheeran - Shivers

This is my new song on repeat! The chorus melody in this song is amazing. It only takes a couple of listens to get stuck in your head. I also really love how Ed Sheeran has changed his sound on this album. It’s a different style for him, and I really love when artists aren’t afraid to try something new. 4. Kito, Empress Of - Wild Girl

I’ve been addicted to this song for two years! I love the production, especially the bassline when the chorus hits. I also really like the premise of this song. It’s a mix of emotions, but also about letting go and not having any inhibitions. I think a lot of girls can relate to this song. 5. Justin Bieber - Hold On

I feel like this song can make you both dance and cry. When this song came out during the pandemic, I instantly felt like the lyrics resonated with me. We all have struggled during the pandemic and this song feels like the musical version of hope and holding onto the idea that better days are ahead.
