Addley Unveils Colourful, Long-Awaited Debut EP ‘We Can Talk For Hours’

Topping off a busy 2024, Addley returns with his long-awaited debut EP ‘We Can Talk For Hours’. Garnering press attention with a string of acclaimed singles throughout the year, the release is the first collection of tracks to be put out by the Liverpool-based artist.

Kicking off with the titular track, the EP bursts into action, showcasing Addley’s cinematic approach to pop-music making before an alluring house-enthused backbeat rears its floor-filling head. The surreal four-track provides an emphatic sense of escapism, using melody and groove to forget about the melancholic realities of modern life, replacing them with a confessional, hedonistic sense of euphoria.

Speaking about the release of the EP, he comments, “This EP is a collection of songs written with a dance floor in mind and they’re mostly about escapism, desire and loneliness. The songs here are confessional, in some ways obvious and others not, but cathartic, showing how nightlife, dance floors & all that comes with it has been a release for me - sometimes in an unhealthy way.”
