With her newest outing 'Living With Ghosts', AKA PrimeTime shares a shimmering alt-pop anthem that transforms heartbreak into movement. It’s the sound of standing in the wreckage and realising you’re still breathing, still creating, and still alive.

From the first notes, the track radiates cinematic melancholy. A pulsing bassline anchors the swirl of reverb-drenched guitars and glossy synth layers, while Chloe Foy’s fragile but resolute vocal cuts through with haunting clarity. The chemistry between voice and instrumentation feels almost spectral, as if the song itself is haunted by its own memories. Every beat shimmers with both grief and hope, making 'Living With Ghosts' one of those rare tracks that can break your heart and make you dance at the same time.

What makes this release so compelling is Kelly Appleton’s control of tone and texture. As a seasoned guitarist and producer, she lets space do the talking. The guitars flicker like streetlights through fog, while subtle percussion and synth swells lend the track its hypnotic pulse. There’s a clear lineage from artists like St. Vincent and Christine and the Queens, her approach feels distinctly her own.

Lyrically, it explores the idea that the past never quite disappears, and that we are always negotiating with the ghosts of who we used to be. Foy’s refrain, equal parts sorrow and surrender, feels universal; delivering a quiet anthem for anyone rebuilding after loss.

'Living With Ghosts' is a meditation disguised as a groove. Beneath the glitter and pulse lies an artist who has seen the fall, stood up, and decided to make something beautiful out of the ruins.
