Dominique Way Unveils Charged Debut EP ‘Sprig’

Following on from the release of ‘Asphalt’ earlier in the summer, and bursting onto the radars of industry tastemakers, Dominique Way unveils her exciting new debut EP ‘Spring’. Written alongside Grammy-nominated Harper Gordon (Burna Boy, RAYE), the EP looks set to cement Way as one of the most exciting young talents.

Kicking off with the mesmerizing melodic harmonies of ‘How Could I?’, ‘Sprig’ sets the stage for an emotionally charged body of work. With euphoric melodies and truly heartfelt sentiments, the EP showcases Way’s vast musical palette and masterful command of the airwaves. Each note of the offering feels delicately measured, giving ‘Sprig’ a warm, homely feel. Pushing the boundaries of pop, indie and folk, Way’s emotive songwriting charms give the seven-track a powerful charm.

Speaking about the EP, Way dives in, “This EP called for a lot of inner exploration as I experimented more than ever with my sound and with art in general. It was also the first time I accepted my emotions and allowed myself to free them through songwriting. Creating ‘Sprig’ pushed me to a place I didn’t expect, but in a way always knew and felt I wanted to be in. I learned so much from the relationships around me and my own while telling these stories and for that, I will forever be grateful. I will always hold this project close to my heart and I’m so thankful for all the people who contributed to make it what it is.”
