For Tom Chapman and Jon Needham, the track carries a specific signpost back to the band they bonded over, RKDIA, whose influence runs right through it. "This one is really inspired by the band RKDIA," they explain. "We wanted a very syncopated, dance-y synth part to go alongside really driving drums."
That syncopated, propulsive foundation became a defining feature of Kazimi's approach, pairing jazz sensibility with dance music's drive. The track also marked the start of their collaborative streak beyond the core duo: "Our good friend Jimmy Stuttard came in and added a great saxophone solo at the end, again really inspired by RKDIA."
'Storming Jupiter' arrived in 2025 as Kazimi's debut release, laying the groundwork for the high-octane blend of jazz and electronic music the band have continued to build on, most recently with new single 'Errant Nodes' slated for release on the 8th October 2026.
