Colchester based Flores Blue is back as she releases her long-awaited sophomore EP, 'Treehouse'. Teasing the project throughout the year, the release comes following the acclaimed 'Start Again', which first met ears in April. Reaching across the airwaves with a glowing, introspective knack for crafting heartfelt acoustic-folk tracks, 'Treehouse' clings to life with a radiant glow. Exploring nostalgic memories, the passing of time and the simpler aspects of life, the EP offers a sound that feels equally intimate and expansive. Teaming up with producer Noah Sparkes, the project looks to put Flores Blue on the map. The EP also features 'Trampolining', the latest single to be taken from the project, showcasing Flores' emphatic ability to encapsulate a raw feeling through sound.
Diving into the EP, she explains, "This EP was created with the best I had, reflecting its core theme– ‘just a tree and a house was enough.” With Noah adding, “We tried to combine a DIY approach with something more expansive, pairing stripped-back indie production with an eclectic range of influences. The challenge was to achieve those larger-scale moments without losing the intimate, personal feel of the writing.”
