Los Angeles-based metal project Grihastha returns with its latest single 'MACHiNE', delivering an ambitious blend of industrial metal, groove-driven rock and electronic textures.

Created by Grammy-nominated producer and multi-instrumentalist Nikhil Suresh, the track explores the point at which instinct begins to overpower conscious thought. But rather than following a traditional metal structure, 'MACHiNE' evolves through shifting rhythms, layered percussion and dense production designed to reflect the song's psychological themes.

Originally sparked by a guitar riff written in early 2024, the composition developed gradually as new elements were introduced, including live drums, metallic sound design and industrial-inspired production techniques.

Suresh's songwriting also draws from philosophical ideas surrounding thought, belief and human behaviour, adding another dimension to the release beyond its heavy musical foundation.

Following the project's reputation for combining multiple influences into a distinctive sound, 'MACHiNE' marks another step forward for Grihastha as it continues to push beyond conventional genre expectations.
