hundredmillionthousand releases atmospheric new single “Eleven”
hundredmillionthousand is the moniker of Noel Fanaeian, a Persian-Filipino composer based in Edmonton, Canada. hundredmillionthousand has spent time refining and learning his craft from the best. Studying under renowned composer Laurel Halo, he was given the opportunity to tour Canada, the United States, and Europe. Electronic and neoclassical are fused together in his signature sound, with a mixture of vocals, cello, and bass helping him execute this.
His latest single “Elevens” showcases this signature sound. A colourful melting pot of synths soak the track in atmosphere, whilst a thundering bassline smashes through the mix, creating a huge impact. Divine backing vocals create a larger than life sound and are sure to fully immerse you into the track. His music is versatile and evokes a wealth of emotions. ‘
“Eleven” is taken from upcoming E.P “Attention Span.” With such a unique sound, we cannot wait to see where he’ll take this and what will be included on his upcoming E.P. Noel speaks about the upcoming E.P:
“I used the sounds of the most intimate and emotional human moments and computerised them into indistinguishable sounds and then made them into music. My intent was to comment and work through my own struggles with connecting in the digital age. In today’s day and age there is no way to discuss the current state of human relationships and intimacy without acknowledging how technology has moulded how we interact with each other. The internet and online dating platforms are perpetuating feelings of attraction, infatuation, connection, confusion, disconnection and little losses. It’s created a disposable cycle of human intimacy. I wanted to capture this feeling and cycle in sound. I noticed experiential electronic music has an obsession with the newest technology; I wanted to create music using a process that explores the effect of techphillic culture to study intimate human connection in the modern age.”
hundredmillionthousand is embarking on a 9 date European tour this September/October, with performances in Berlin, Helsinki, Barcelona, Skopje, Porto, Novi Sad, Krakow, and more.
