Loome Shares Visuals For Infectious New Single 'Talking To Strangers'

Suffolk Alternative-Pop up and comer Loome is joined by Oktae for the bouncing, infectiously catchy new single 'Talking To Strangers'. A warming, spotless alt-pop tune giving an exciting look at Loome's upcoming 5 track EP We're All Fvcked (released this Friday), 'Talking To Strangers is a brilliant example of the alt-pop songwriting you can expect to find across the upcoming release. Perfectly balancing its commercial edge with a melancholic delivery and warming synth heavy instrumentation, the track manages to capture a universal likability whilst still leaning on the more alternative-electronic side of Loome's musical tendencies.

The tracks duel vocals from Loome and fellow up and comer Oktae, the track's compelling emotion and ear-worm vocals are amplified as the pair deliver understated yet affecting and honest performances to reflect the tracks message of longing for reconnection after lockdown.

Talking about the single, Loome explains: “Opposites make life so vivid, think ‘love/hate’ or ‘life/death’; they’re emotive by default! When Oktae and I got together to write, we wanted to look at the newest dichotomy of recent history, music festivals versus lockdown.

We wanted to write a song about reconnecting to the world. To bring us back, to re-centre us, to heal from the trauma of it all. To get back to Talking To Strangers for no reason at all other than the joy of it.”

Accompanied by a new video, aptly shot at a festival where the pair are able to return to some sense of normality and human connection, the song is given a joyous visual to highlight the lighter, uplifting side to the track.

Speaking about the music video, Loome shares:

“From there we HAD to make a music video with our talent pal and creative director Millie Grange Bennett and Director Harry Clarke. The music video was filmed at El Dorado Festival which was our first gig back post COVID. The planets aligned and the whole process was just so perfect. The video was shot across the weekend from multiple iPhones and then edited together by Oktae.”

An artist who has already experienced a lot of success, with tracks of this quality, Loome is surely set to gain widespread acclaim and support over the coming months.
