There’s a magic that happens when dance music goes beyond the floor — when it taps into something deeper, more personal, while still making you want to move. That’s exactly the space Nativalien and Pinwheel Valley inhabit on their new single, “On & On.” Released via Hot Soap Records, the track folds shimmering piano chords and tight, urgent rhythms into a soundscape that feels both sunlit and soulful.

Qais Khoury — the man behind Nativalien — has been quietly shaping the electronic underground with a knack for crafting immersive, emotional house and techno. His multi-cultural upbringing, spanning Amman, London, Vancouver, and Cyprus, bleeds through the music, creating a global vibe that’s equally thoughtful and dancefloor-ready. It’s a rare balance, and one he nails here.

"I created this track to shape Nativalien’s bold sonic identity — a vibrant blend of piano-driven, vocal-laced house music made for the dancefloor. Centered on a soaring grand piano melody, the soundscape builds with rhythmic shakers and gritty police sirens, evoking sunlit beach parties straight out of a Slim Aarons photo. As Pinwheel Valley, I performed the topline vocals, aiming for the emotional punch of Years & Years’ Desire. The focus was to achieve something both rhythmically charged and melodically rich.”

Pinwheel Valley, Khoury’s other project, lends the single its signature emotional depth. Together, the two act as complementary forces, with “On & On” feeling like a dialogue between light and shadow, movement and stillness. The vocal delivery is dynamic and rich, floating over a bed of bold piano motifs and a groove that insists on forward momentum.

This isn’t just a club banger — it’s a track for moments of introspection amid the bass drops, the kind of tune that reminds you dance music can be as much about feeling as it is about rhythm. With nods to Cubicolor, Elderbrook, and Camelphat, “On & On” is a seamless blend of urban grit and elegance, built for both sunset sessions and late-night sets.

It’s a reminder that some songs don’t just move your body — they carry you “On & On”.
