Irish artist Daire Patel recently unveiled his first official music video alongside his new single 'Pretty Sweet'. The video, which captures the track's poetic and witty lyricism, takes the viewer on a journey through Patel's acceptance of growing up and finding his way.
Daire on the meaning behind the track, "The song is about coming to terms with growing up, getting older and accepting that in life things don’t always go the way you hoped they would.”
“The lyrics “I wake up I go back to sleep” which form the backbone of the song is just a commentary on how I was living my life at that point. A lot of the song however is more so about coming to terms with growing up, getting older and accepting that in life things don’t always go the way you hoped they would" - Daire adds.
Daire's playful combination of hip-hop and bedroom pop is a unique fusion that sets him aside from a lot of up and coming artists out there at the moment. We're excited to see this artist go from strength to strength.
