REVIEW: Dady - Dark Mode

Dynamic duo Dady have dropped their delightfully dreamy new track 'Dark Mode'. Having started their relationship as 'frenemies' back in high school, they soon bonded over their shared love of music and as such the resulting friendship between Rachel Dady and producer Jesse O'Connor has fostered their exquisite musical partnership.

“Dark Mode was written and recorded (almost) all in one day during the summer of 2020. With this release, we decided to explore warmer, more organic instrument sounds, a bit of a departure from our early production and beat-heavy tracks. Chalk it up to turning 30 (or all of the Phoebe Bridgers and Soccer Mommy we listened to over the course of the pandemic), but we wanted to take our foot off the gas with Dark Mode. Both vocally and production-wise, it’s an exploration of how less can be more.”

With six singles under their belt, this unlikely pair are taking the world by storm with their edgy and unique blend of electro-R&B and alt-pop. With Rachel's heady and silky smooth vocals combined with the delicate and sweeping soundscape, curtesy of Jesse, 'Dark Mode' makes for a truly captivating listen.
