When RISE release a song, you can expect polish, power, and passion; but 'Lost For Words' pushes all three to new heights. The Liverpool-based outfit have crafted an anthem that captures both vulnerability and defiance in the same breath.

From the moment the synths open up over clean guitar lines, there’s a sense of lift-off in the mix. Vocalist stayMellow takes the lead with conviction, delivering a performance that feels both bruised and bold. Rather than dwelling on sorrow, the lyrics spin loss into liberation. Allowing us to hear it in every refrain, offering pain transfigured into motion.

Guitarist Brian Petch fills the mix with precision and warmth, his melodic phrasing complementing the vocal arc rather than overpowering it. Meanwhile, Alex Mahoney’s drumming gives the song its steady and unrelenting heartbeat. The rhythm section, anchored by tight production from Paul Kinley and Rob Whiteley, strikes the ideal balance between texture and clarity.

By the time the final chorus lands, 'Lost For Words' feels more like a personal manifesto. It’s catharsis disguised as radio gold, and continued proof that RISE have evolved beyond genre into something distinctly their own. This is the sound of a band completely sure of who they are, and where they’re headed next.
