When Sheffield-based artist Ruiz! first introduced himself with his breakthrough debut single 'Morning' in 2020, he was instantly greeted as one of the more alluring names on the rise back then. And with his wondrous debut album 'Mind Games' bringing even more attention to his sound the following year, he looks to continue his recent vibrant streak with the enchanting new single 'Stupid Old Git'.
Honing a wonderfully broad and immersive psychedelic energy for his newest outing, he feels like he is an artist truly coming into his creative element here. With notable influences from the likes of Beck and The Stone Roses littered throughout, 'Stupid Old Git' has this brilliantly magical atmosphere to it, all threaded together with his engaging vocal performance from start to finish.
Lifted from his forthcoming sophomore LP, which is set to arrive early next year, 'Stupid Old Git' feels like a bold step forward within his development in recent months.
