Random Acts of Kindness has seen its social-impact single “I Wish” gain international momentum after the version featuring the African Children’s Choir surpassed 33 million YouTube views.

Written by songwriter and philanthropist Ken Freirich, the song focuses on peace, belonging, equality and compassion. The African Children’s Choir recording was made in Uganda and forms part of a wider project using children’s voices to carry the song’s message.

Further versions are already planned. A recording featuring children from Ukraine, created in a bomb shelter, is scheduled for early December, while another featuring Palestinian and Israeli children is expected in 2027.

All profits from the song are being directed to charitable causes.

The project has also received recognition from Teen Cancer America and the Mayor of Anyama in Côte d’Ivoire, while “I Wish” has been submitted for consideration for the Recording Academy’s Harry Belafonte Best Song for Social Change Award.
