second thoughts release vibrant new single "somebody to talk about"

Admin

second thoughts hail from Hitchin, Hertfordshire, but seem to be capturing audience nationally with their sound that represents British teenage life. Their unique take on indie-rock manages to conjure up feelings of nostalgia and adolescence, whilst creating a sound that is unique and irresistible. Their music has been received well by fans and tastemakers alike with their singles "nicotine stains" and "joyrider" lauded by press outlets such as Clash and NOTION.

“somebody to talk about” is second thoughts latest offering. The track features a vibrant melting pot of acoustic guitars, thrashing drums and grooving basslines. On top, chorus soaked guitar lines glimmer in the mix. Vocals come packed with emotion, working hand in glove with well-penned lyrics. The track is a timeless banger that will be sure to please festival crowds this summer.

Speaking about the release, the band says: “somebody to talk about' is a song about not caring what people think of you and having the confidence to believe in yourself. Musically, we felt inspired by bands such as the La’s and the Lemonheads, and so it's the first time using an acoustic guitar in one of our songs, something we now plan to do more often. We love the way it sounds when we blend those different elements together."

"somebody to talk about" has been taken from their EP. A four track offering, it is sure to take the listener on a musical journey, and has been produced and mixed by Iain Berryman (Wolf Alice, Beebadoobee). With an ever-growing fanbase and fantastic music, we can't wait to see where they'll take this.
