Thomas Heppell releases blues-influenced self-titled debut album

Thomas Heppell has a style that brings the heart of blues, the energy of rock and roll and the sophistication of jazz. Leaving his mark on prestigious venues and festivals across the likes of The Tuesday Night Club in London, Lincoln Jazz Cafe, Broadstairs Blues Bash, Swanage Blues Festival, and Weyfest, Thomas commands a solo stage or drives the rhythm within his three-piece band in which Jack Bryant and Howard Head join and drums and bass respectively.

His debut EP was released earlier this year, with the project, ‘Be My Home’, receiving radio pay from Jazz FM and Blues Radio UK. The EP also secured nominations at the UK Blues Awards 2023 for Best Young, Emerging, and Acoustic Blues Artist.

Now Thomas Heppell has returned with his latest project, a debut self-titled album. Across the eleven tracks, Thomas performs an autobiographical insight into his experiences and feelings, all taken on through a rich tapestry of blues sensibilities.

Thomas adds, "The album is about the blues at its core, with bits going out into different genres, such as country, rock and jazz. The songs go from situations about love to painful lows, with the intention of connecting to the listener and healing inside of them. These are the stories of Thomas Heppell".
