Lina Nikol hails from Bulgaria and stands out with her silky-smooth vocals. Now based in the UK, the artist has just unveiled her phenomenal new joint EP, A Mood Called “You”, alongside producer Boyan. Featuring those unmistakable dreamy vocals, the project is four tracks of laid-back R&B that will appeal to fans of H.E.R., Syd and Sinead Harnett.
Among the four tracks is personal favourite “Set You Free”, which was released earlier this year and really showcases what a special talent Lina is. Infused with atmospheric beats and lush melodies, it’s a song that shines the spotlight on an artist in her element.
Speaking on the EP, Lina says, “The EP takes you on a journey of heartfelt confessions, pouring out from different relationship situations. Every song is a story about different aspects of love – the imaginary one you wish you had, the real one you never wanna let go of, the one that breaks your heart. It’s very relatable to each one of us – about the highs and lows of love, but also saying out loud things that maybe you would leave lingering in your mind.”
