Berlin-based artist Solarrio returns with his sophomore album 'Toxicology', a polished blend of synthpop, funk, and hip-hop, the record explores themes of love, addiction, and emotional accountability, framed by the central concept: “Love is dead — this album is the toxicology report.” The result is a confident, introspective release that balances vulnerability with groove.

Following his 2024 debut 'All the Wrong Places', Solarrio pushes his sound into darker, more refined territory. Toxicology confronts the allure of toxic relationships and self-destructive habits, pairing sharp lyricism with sleek, funk-driven production.

“This album is about accountability, it’s me dissecting my own toxicity — but still keeping it funky.”

The album’s lead single, ‘Under My Spell’, sets the tone with a hypnotic, funk-led arrangement co-produced with longtime collaborator Alhassan Sakho. Written from the perspective of temptation itself, whether substance or fame, the track captures the tension between seduction and control, offering a chilled yet unsettling introduction to the project.

Solarrio’s international profile continues to rise, with MTV airplay for “B the 1,” BET Jams support for “NLF” featuring Holland Izz, and strong radio traction across Latin America. To support the release, he will tour Japan in November 2025, followed by a showcase performance at SXSW 2026.

With 'Toxicology', Solarrio solidifies his position as a forward-thinking voice in modern funk-pop.
